IAP and NPM Presentations at Stampshow 2010
IAP and the NPM presented three talks at Stampshow this year.

The first talk, entitled “Colorimetric Analysis in Philatelic Studies,” presented the results of Dave Herendeen’s National Postal Museum Scholarship.

This was followed by a one-hour meeting called “If you have research ideas… We have money.” This meeting was open to all interested philatelists as well as members of our new organization. Dave Herendeen and John Barwis talked about IAP and our goals.
In addition, Tom Lera, the Winton H. Blount Chair of Research at the NPM spoke about new research opportunities at the museum.

The next day, Dave Herendeen presented an
“IAP Status Report.”
. In addition to a brief review of where IAP is as an organization and the status of our research activities, there was an active question/answer period.

There was a great deal of excitement among attendees of these meeting
about all of the new research opportunities that are available
, and IAP was able to make its target of 15 new members! Great news for the future!
